Block 1: Recap + warmup
Prompt: "Tell your neighbor one thing you changed yesterday."
Blocks 2-3: Final build blocks
Goal: most students complete the core project.
What to say:
"Today we finish the main build. If you are behind, focus on the required pieces first. If you are caught up, make one part better instead of starting five new things."
Watch for:
- Students skipping required steps to decorate.
- Students who need a reduced target so they still have something demo-ready.
- Fast students who can explain one advanced idea to a neighbor.
Block 4: Break
Snacks. Big moment: the core build is nearly done.
Block 5: Stretch picks
Goal: every student chooses either catch-up, polish, or one stretch challenge.
What to say:
"You get to choose: catch up on a missing part, polish your favorite part, or try a stretch challenge."
Watch for:
- Decision paralysis. Offer two concrete options.
- Students changing working code or blocks right before demo day. Encourage small, reversible changes.
Block 6: Wrap + reflection
Prompts:
- "Which part are you most proud of?"
- "What was the hardest moment this week?"
- "What do you want parents to notice tomorrow?"
Preview: "Tomorrow is polish, rehearsal, and the parent demo."
